Metal powder recovery made easy

The PowTReX is a vacuum conveying based transfer, screening and recovery system for metal powder developed for additive manufacturing (AM). It is used to transport metal powder from equipment such as 3D printers and unpacking stations, with high and constant suction power. The extracted powder is screened and the material with the appropriate particle size can be automatically returned to the process.

The system takes up less than 1m² of space and offers a high and stable material throughput. PowTReX is a reliable, safe and easy to use system, with a HEPA filter for handling harmful substances. Because the PowTReX is an ATEX certified system with type-tested components, it’s also possible to install it in an EX Class 1 Division 2, or Zone 22 area. The system has a touch display and one-button operation for easy use.

All common types of metal powder and their alloys for additive manufacturing, including stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and other powders, can be classified with this system. Operation under fully inert conditions with a residual oxygen content of <1% is also possible, as is a complete closed loop solution for the inert gas circuit.
