Volkmann solves transporting bread crumbs to fish processing lines

Curious as to how that crispy layer on fish sticks and fish fillets is realized? Volkmann recently took on this production challenge for a leading fish producer. The task was to empty the bread crumbs from the bulk bags and then to transport and feed the bread crumbs to the machines for further processing keeping in mind that the fish producer needed to use an existing crane to minimize cost. Volkmann offered mini hoppers as emptying aids to solve this cost concern. These have a small overall height, are easy to handle and clean when changing products.

In the product transfer system Volkmann installed, the bulk bags are emptied and transported to the fish filet and fish stick processing lines by four VS 250 vacuum conveyors. 12 tons of breadcrumbs are conveyed and processed every day.
